Top Ten Reasons to Visit Discussing Breast Cancer in 2008

9. Each year, 500,000 people will die from breast cancer (also according to the WHO). This site will offer support to those facing death or the death of a loved one.

8. 12.28% of women born today will be diagnosed with breast cancer at some point in their lifetime. This number can also be expressed as 1 in 8 women. This site will be a place of solace for the women who find themselves on the wrong side of those statistics.662830_laptop_3.jpg


7. There are issues each breast cancer survivor and caregiver should be aware of — this site will raise people’s awareness of these issues.

6. Since it’s inception, Discussing Breast Cancer has been a place for survivors, their friends and family members to turn for information that will empower them to navigate through the storm they may find themselves in before, during or after a breast cancer diagnosis.

5. Many of the posts at Discussing Breast Cancer are about my personal experience as a two time survivor. I’ll continue to share my life with you since so much of my life is wrapped up in a pink ribbon.

4. Discussing Breast Cancer has always been loaded with timely news and information about the disease, it’s symptoms, diagnosis, and treatment. That won’t stop.

2. This site will feature book and product reviews that might be of interest to breast cancer survivors and their caregivers. (If you have a book or a product you’d like me to review, please email me at karenmlynch at gmail dot com to discuss the possibility.)

1. This site is part of the 451 Press blog network and 451 Press President Steve Shickles decided not to give this pink site a pink slip in a recent round of “layoffs.” The network is down to 149 sites from over 300. Let’s show him that this blog is indeed worthy of the cut!
