Discussing Breast Cancer is the place for survivors, their friends and family members to turn for information that will empower them to navigate through the storm they may find themselves in before, during or after a breast cancer diagnosis.
Many of the posts are about the author's personal experience as a two time survivor. In addition, Discussing Breast Cancer is loaded with timely news and information about the disease, it's symptoms, diagnosis, and treatment. It will also reference the myriad of sites, individuals and organizations that either raise money and/or awareness for the cause or in some way contribute to researching a cure or serving breast cancer survivors worldwide.

I’m glad you posted this Karen. Cancer is bad enough when it happens to “older” people. But it is so much worse when it happens to young people.
One of my dearest friends is a nurse in pediatric oncology…and that really breaks my heart. She deals in clinic trials for children who are at the end of the road with regular treatment. Cancer should not happen to children, it should not happen to young people who have yet to experience all the wonders of life and it should not happen to young people who are just starting families.

So glad to see this posted! I have recently become involved with i2y and attended onEof their events for young survivors a “stupid cancer happy hour” over the summer and it was great! It was so nice to be in a room full of other young survivors like myself but best of all was how inspiring it was to see everyone out still “living” and having a good time! They are a great resource for young people. Its about time!

Hi Cathy! Good to hear from you here! I love the stupid cancer happy hour (wish I’d have known. Were there Margaritas by any chance? I’m anxious to learn more about i2y myself. So far, I’m impressed.
Sherry, I had the pleasure of interviewing a pediatric cancer survivor. At age 10 she has her act together in a way most adults I know can’t even fake. Don’t know how your friend does it.
